December 2025 : The Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning (SSSIHL) has recently announced a major strategic partnership with Motherson Techno Tools Ltd (MTTL), India, solidifying a long-term commitment to advance academic excellence, applied research, and dynamic industry-academia engagement.

The Collaboration Agreement was formally signed on December 9, 2025, in Prasanthi Nilayam. The agreement was exchanged between Prof. B. Raghavendra Prasad, Vice-Chancellor, SSSIHL, and Mr. Rajiv Malhotra, Chief Operating Officer, MTTL, marking the inception of a structured, outcome-driven alliance.

The partnership is built on a shared vision to create a dynamic framework encompassing joint research, industrial training, technology development, and holistic student-faculty development.

Key areas of focus include: Joint research in chemistry, materials science, coatings for cutting tools, and related disciplines. Enhancing student exposure through internships, industry-guided research, and mentorship from MTTL experts. Supporting industry-relevant PhD research, including industry-sponsored PhD fellowships. Facilitating access to advanced research infrastructure, notably SSSIHL’s Central Research Instruments Facility (CRIF).

This synergistic effort aims to bridge the gap between academic theory and industrial practice, leveraging shared expertise and infrastructure. SSSIHL graduates will also benefit from enhanced recruitment pathways, with MTTL actively considering them for suitable career opportunities.

The exchange was witnessed by senior officials, including Dr. Srikanth Khanna (Registrar, SSSIHL) and Dr. Vishal Khetan (Project Head & SPOC, General Manager - Development, Motherson DeltaCarb Hardmetal, SA).

This collaboration powerfully aligns SSSIHL’s integration of values-based education with cutting-edge research and MTTL’s dedication to technology-driven progress and nurturing skilled talent, promising a significant contribution to national innovation.
