"We are delighted to welcome Daeseung Autoparts India and Ilgahng Automotive to our growing portfolio of global manufacturing customers. Sunsure is committed to Tamil Nadu's renewable energy progress and helping businesses transition seamlessly to green power." - Shashank Sharma, Founder - Chairman & CEO - Sunsure Energy

January 2026 : In a significant move for industrial decarbonisation, Sunsure Energy announced that it has signed long-term solar Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Daeseung Autoparts India and Ilgahng Automotive. The agreements will supply a combined 8 MWp of clean energy to the South Korean automotive giants' manufacturing facilities in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu.

Under these pacts, clean power will be wheeled from Sunsure’s 75 MWp solar plant located in Ilayangudi. For Daeseung Autoparts - a subsidiary of the global Daeseung Group - the deal secures approximately 8 million units of solar power annually, meeting nearly 60% of its total energy demand and offsetting 5,800 metric tonnes of CO2e emissions. Similarly, Ilgahng Automotive will receive 4.7 million units annually, cutting its carbon footprint by 3,400 metric tonnes.

The partnership underscores the growing trend of global manufacturers leveraging India’s renewable infrastructure to meet international ESG goals.

Mr. Shin Sangki, Managing Director of Daeseung Autoparts India, stated: "Daeseung has always believed in powering progress responsibly. Our collaboration with Sunsure Energy allows us to align our India operations with the Group's global sustainability goals. By sourcing nearly 60% of our power requirements from solar energy, we are significantly reducing our carbon footprint while strengthening our resilience against future energy cost volatility. We chose Sunsure Energy as our partner based on their strong industry credentials, proven execution capabilities, timely delivery of power, and deep development experience across India."

Sunsure Energy, backed by a $400 million commitment from Partners Group AG, is rapidly expanding its footprint in South India through its #TamilNattinSakthi initiative.

Mr. Shashank Sharma, Founder - Chairman & CEO at Sunsure Energy, commented: "We are delighted to welcome Daeseung Autoparts India and Ilgahng Automotive to our growing portfolio of global manufacturing customers.
