December 2025 : In a landmark move to accelerate India's industrial growth and fortify its $5 trillion economic vision, the Government of Tamil Nadu has partnered with Tata Technologies Ltd to transform 44 government-run polytechnic colleges into state-of-the-art Centres of Excellence (CoE). The initiative aims to modernize technical education in line with demanding Industry 4.0 standards.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was officially signed at the Secretariat in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin between the Directorate of Technical Education and Tata Technologies Ltd. This critical alliance is set to equip thousands of students with future-ready skills, bridging the gap between academia and industrial requirements.

The mission to strengthen India’s skilling ecosystem is receiving a major boost from key industry players. Yaskawa India Private Limited is proudly supporting the initiative, bringing cutting-edge robotic technology into the classrooms.
