September 2025 : TVS Motor Company has significantly expanded its global research and development footprint by establishing a Global Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Design & Engineering in Bologna, Italy. This strategic move follows the successful acquisition of the renowned Italian design and engineering company, Engines Engineering S.p.A

The newly formed CoE is designed to operate as a concept-to-product innovation hub, seamlessly integrating the specialised expertise of Engines Engineering with TVS Motor’s expansive global R&D capabilities. By uniting diverse engineering teams and tapping into a global talent pool, the centre is expected to significantly enhance the company’s speed to market, product differentiation, and overall technological leadership.

The core focus areas for the Bologna CoE include driving Design Leadership and Engineering Excellence, pioneering Future Mobility Technologies, and fostering Global Talent & Collaboration.

This initiative is set to reinforce premium and future-ready product development across several key vehicle segments, including motorcycles, scooters, electric mobility platforms, and critically, Norton Motorcycles. The collaboration is a major boost to TVS Motor’s aspiration to deliver sustainable and compelling mobility solutions worldwide.
