March 2026 : VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd. (VECV) has recently announced a significant leadership transition aimed at steering the joint venture into its next phase of technological and market expansion. Effective April 1, 2026, B Srinivas will take the helm as the new Managing Director & CEO, succeeding Vinod Aggarwal, who has been appointed Chairman of the Board.
Srinivas, a 31-year veteran of the Eicher Group, moves into the top spot after serving as Chief Operating Officer since 2024. His tenure has been marked by strategic oversight in product strategy, purchasing, and a successful stint leading the Eicher Bus business.
Vinod Aggarwal’s transition to Chairman marks the end of a sixteen-year era of executive leadership at VECV. Under his guidance, the partnership between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors transformed into a powerhouse of Indian commercial transportation. Aggarwal replaces Sofia Frändberg, who completes her three-year term as Chairperson. Frändberg, a senior leader at Volvo Group, will remain on the VECV Board.
Further strengthening the board, Rajinder Singh Sachdeva joins as a nominee of EML following his retirement as Deputy CEO and Chief Transformation Officer, replacing Raul Rai.
B Srinivas brings a wealth of cross-functional expertise to his new role. His professional journey is defined by a three-decade tenure at Eicher Motors and VE Commercial Vehicles, where he climbed the ranks from technical roles to executive management. He is an alumnus of Acharya Nagarjuna University, where he completed his B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
