September 2026 : Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) has recently announced the appointment of Karthik Krishnamurthy as Global Chief Executive Officer of Wipro Aerospace. In his new role, Krishnamurthy will steer the company’s worldwide operations, driving growth across its engineering, precision manufacturing, and technological innovation units.

The executive movement coincides with a major operational consolidation uniting the capabilities of WIN Aerospace and Wipro Lauak. Following Wipro's acquisition of a majority stake in France-based aerospace supplier Lauak Group, the unified business provides an expanded global footprint across aerostructures, precision machining, sheet metal fabrication, and advanced assemblies. Krishnamurthy is charged with expanding these combined capabilities and strengthening key relationships with global aircraft OEMs.

With over 35 years of aerospace operational and strategic experience, Krishnamurthy brings a deeply rooted background in business operations, strategy deployment, and technical leadership. He transitions to Wipro Aerospace following an 11-year tenure as Chief Operations Officer - Aerostructures at Mahindra Aerospace, where he oversaw operations and manufacturing in Bengaluru.

His academic foundation reflects high-level engineering specialization. He earned his B.Tech and M.S. degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, before completing a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University.
