September 2026 : Mayur Khakhar has stepped into a key leadership role as Senior Vice President and Grinding Unit Head at UltraTech Cement, taking charge of Narmada Cement - Magdalla Works in Surat, Gujarat. The appointment marks another significant milestone in Khakhar’s distinguished career of over two decades within the Aditya Birla Group.
In his new role, Khakhar oversees manufacturing operations, production optimization, and operational efficiency at the Surat unit. His leadership comes at a pivotal time as India's cement manufacturing sector continues to expand to meet growing infrastructure and housing demands.
Khakhar’s journey spans more than 25 years of engineering and operational experience across major industrial conglomerates. He began his career with Grasim Industries Limited (Birla Cellulosic unit in Kosamba). He then joined UltraTech Cement, embarking on a remarkable 22-year tenure. Over the years, he advanced through key positions including Engineer to Manager at Gujarat Cement Works (Kovaya), Senior Manager in Neemuch, and Deputy General Manager and General Manager at Vikram Cement Works. He later served as Senior General Manager at Sewagram Cement Works in Bhuj and Vice President & Function Head - Power at Kovaya, before taking on Senior VP and Grinding Unit Head roles at Narmada Cement's Ratnagiri Works in Maharashtra and now Magdalla Works in Gujarat.
His strong technical capability is backed by solid academic credentials. Khakhar earned a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from BPTI, Bhavnagar, followed by a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from Gujarat University. He later completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from GlobalNxt University to hone his executive management expertise.
