June 2026 : Building a new manufacturing facility from the ground up is no small feat, Zinkteknik is tackling the challenge by prioritizing digital efficiency from day one. The global automotive tier 2 zinc die-casting specialist has chosen the Plex Smart Manufacturing Platform by Rockwell Automation to serve as the unified digital backbone for its brand-new greenfield plant in Monterrey, Mexico, setting a scalable foundation for international expansion.

By combining a manufacturing execution system (MES), quality management system (QMS), electronic data interchange (EDI), and advanced analytics and operations, the platform connects people, machines, and workflows into a single system of record. This will eliminate clunky manual tasks, improve data tracking, and help the team launch operations smoothly while adhering to strict automotive quality metrics.

To pull off the implementation, Zinkteknik is collaborating with Cumulus, a gold-level system integrator in Rockwell’s PartnerNetwork™ ecosystem. The long-term vision is to standardize operations across their highly automated hubs in Sweden and Bosnia, enabling the company to respond quickly to market changes while keeping their signature focus on high-precision parts.
