April 2026 : Innovation often feels like a buzzword, but for the industrial world, it’s becoming a survival requirement. Vancouver-based Algo8 Industrial AI just took a massive leap forward, announcing a US $2 million strategic investment from Chemelex LLC. The deal is more than a financial injection; it’s a high-level strategic bridge. As part of the partnership, David Prystash, CEO of Chemelex, is joining Algo8’s Advisory Board. His arrival signals a serious commitment to scaling "PlantBrain," Algo8’s proprietary AI platform, across the North American energy, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors.

“This investment from Chemelex is a strong validation of the value Algo8 is delivering to industrial enterprises globally,” said Nandan Mishra, CEO of Algo8. “Having David join our Advisory Board brings invaluable operational and strategic expertise from one of the world’s leading infrastructure platforms. We view this partnership as a catalyst to scale our deployments and drive meaningful efficiency gains across large, complex operations.”

Prystash’s career reads like a roadmap of industrial leadership. Currently at the helm of Raychem (Chemelex), his resume includes serving as CEO and Chairman of the IAC Group, holding major CFO roles at General Motors, and serving as CEO of Gibbs Sports Amphibians and A123 Systems. His deep-rooted expertise also stems from tenure at Ford Motor Company, NewPage Corporation, and board positions at Auria and Ballard Power Systems. A Carnegie Mellon and Stanford GSB alumnus, Prystash is also a founding member of Consiliarion LLC.

With this partnership, Algo8 isn’t just looking at the future - they are actively building the intelligent infrastructure required to run it.
