October 2025 : Cargill has recently announced the appointment of veteran technology leader Subhajit Deb as its new Global Head - Cyber Engineering and Technology Operations. Mr. Deb will lead a worldwide organization responsible for safeguarding one of the world’s largest and most critical digital ecosystems.

In his new role, Mr. Deb is tasked with building and operating next-generation cybersecurity platforms - spanning network, endpoint, cloud, data, and identity security. His leadership will focus on advancing engineering excellence, automation, and adopting a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) mindset to secure the technology that powers Cargill’s global mission.

Mr. Deb brings over two decades of experience as a Cyber Security, Privacy, and Technology leader, having previously served in Global CISO and senior security roles prominent global organizations, including Envoy Global, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Max Life Insurance Company Limited and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC Group). His extensive background covers securing highly regulated sectors such as Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, and Immigration.

A hands-on leader dedicated to bridging the gap between security and business growth, he holds several security certifications, including CISM and CRISC, and is a recognized innovator with two granted US Patents in Information Security and Risk Management. His appointment underscores Cargill’s commitment to reinforcing its digital resilience from its operations in India.
