August 2026 : Fiat India Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. has recently appointed Amit Shukla as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO). Stepping into the role at the automaker’s Pune operations, Shukla will spearhead the enterprise technology and digital transformation agenda, focusing on smart manufacturing, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and AI-driven business innovation.

With over 27 years of global, cross-functional experience, Shukla brings deep expertise in aligning business strategy with IT operations. His career spans leadership roles across diverse manufacturing sectors - including automotive, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and FMCG - with a strong track record in large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, smart factory initiatives, and cybersecurity governance.

Before joining Fiat India, Shukla served as Vice President - IT (CIO) at Crystal Crop Protection. His extensive career journey includes leadership positions at Mankind Pharma, Kirloskar Brothers Limited, RSPL Group, Finolex Industries, Tata Technologies, Trident Group, IBM India, Videocon Industries, J.K. Industries (Tyre Division), and UP State Spinning Company.

Shukla holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Christ Church P.G. College, Kanpur, an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Finance, and an ICWAI (Final) qualification from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India. He is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP)® and holds an ITIL V3 certification.
