November 2025 : Freudenberg Filtration Technologies, a global leader in innovative filtration solutions, has recently announced a significant expansion of its advanced product portfolio, strategically targeting the burgeoning demands of the Lithium-Ion Battery (LiB), Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP), and precision cleanroom manufacturing sectors.

The new offerings include next-generation Fan Filter Units (FFUs), BIBO (Bag-In/Bag-Out) systems with integrated blowers, and specialized NMP-compatible filters. The new Freudenberg FFU Series is engineered for semiconductor, battery, and pharmaceutical cleanrooms, ensuring precise laminar airflow control with HEPA and ULPA filtration efficiency up to ISO Class (per ISO 14644-1).

Key innovations in the FFU Series focus on sustainability and efficiency, including an energy-efficient EC motor design that reduces power consumption by up to 35%, and smart controlling options with CCM software for larger clusters. The units also feature low vibration, superior acoustic performance, and smart monitoring for critical process stability.

For environments handling hazardous materials, Freudenberg has introduced the BIBO system with an integrated blower module. These systems ensure the safe replacement of filters for toxic exhaust streams, guaranteeing gas-tight sealing and pressure-tested containment while minimizing operator exposure. The modular, stainless-steel design is compatible with HEPA/ULPA, activated carbon, and specialty chemical filters.

Recognizing the unique challenges in LiB and LFP manufacturing, Freudenberg has developed NMP (N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone) compatible filter media. These specialized filters are resistant to aggressive organic solvents, crucial for applications in dry rooms, coating lines, and solvent recovery exhaust filtration. By maintaining mechanical integrity and airflow stability under high humidity and solvent vapor exposure, these filters are key to ensuring high product yield and process reliability for manufacturers.
