February 2026 : Bolstering its commitment to the rapidly evolving Electric Vehicle landscape, Magna International has recently appointed Magesh Mani as Plant Director for its Battery & EV Charging unit plants. In this strategic role, Mani will manage the Profit & Loss for key manufacturing facilities within the Magna ecosystem, specifically focusing on the Chennai and Bangalore hubs.

The transition marks a significant milestone for Mani, who has spent over 14 years with the global automotive supplier. Tasked with overseeing the financial and operational health of these high-tech facilities, he is prepared to steer the brand toward new heights of innovation.

Magesh Mani steps into the role with a clear vision for the future of green mobility. His appointment comes at a time when Magna is aggressively expanding its EV component and charging infrastructure capabilities. Mani’s expertise in handling complex commodities - from batteries and chassis parts to electrical wiring harnesses - positions him as a vital asset in implementing world-class manufacturing practices.

Before his current elevation, Mani served as Head of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management. His career began with foundational roles at Premier Steering and Pressing Limited, Rane Group, and Comstar Automotive Technologies.

Mani holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from the Bharath Institute Of Science And Technology, an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, and completed a specialized program in Supply Chain Management from IIM Kozhikode.
