September 2026 : The Mahindra Group is getting a powerful new voice on its Executive Board. Shveta Arya has been officially welcomed as the new Group Chief Strategy Officer, bringing over 23 years of dynamic, cross-industry experience to the table. In a corporate landscape often driven strictly by the bottom line, Arya stands out for a leadership philosophy that champions both operational excellence and genuine empathy.

In her new role, Arya will lead the Mahindra Group Strategy Office. She is tasked with collaborating across the organization's diverse business portfolio to spot fresh growth opportunities, unlock hidden value, and secure long-term strategic advantages for the conglomerate. Looking forward, she is particularly passionate about driving innovation and low-emission technologies to address modern climate challenges.

Her career trajectory traces a remarkable evolution across the telecom, financial services, travel, and automotive sectors. Arya built her foundational technical expertise at Infosys Technologies Ltd, followed by a stint at Accenture. She then honed her analytical and strategic chops at A.T. Kearney before moving to Thomas Cook India Limited. Most recently, she spent a transformative decade at Cummins India, rising from Head of Strategy to Managing Director.

Academically, she holds a PGDM from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad and a Bachelor of Information Technology from Delhi University.
