June 2026 : Suzlon Group has recently appointed Ashok Ramachandran as CEO - India Business. He joins Suzlon straight from Vietnam, where he served as Group CEO of REE Corporation, a leading Southeast Asian company.

Prior to Suzlon, Ramachandran gained extensive experience leading businesses through the varied cultures and market rules of the Asia-Pacific region. . Seconded by Jardine Matheson, he successfully steered REE Corporation's multi-sector portfolio in Vietnam. Prior to that, he served as Board Member and COO at JSW Energy Ltd in Mumbai, and spent over a decade rising through the leadership ranks at Schindler. His tenure at Schindler included serving as President and CEO of Schindler India, Managing Director for Jardine Schindler Group in Malaysia, Brunei, and Vietnam, and key operational roles at Schindler Lifts Australia. He began his career at Moran Furniture in Australia.

Ramachandran holds a Master’s in Industrial Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology and a B.Engg in Instrumentation & Control from SRM IST Chennai.
