“We are now ready to take the LEAP, where LEAP stands for Leadership through Ethical Behaviour, Agile Processes and Partnerships.”

April 2024 : The world of manufacturing is in a constant state of evolution. From automation and digitalization to sustainability and changing consumer demands, the industry is facing both exciting opportunities and complex challenges. To navigate this dynamic landscape, strong leadership is essential. That’s why Pro MFG Media is thrilled to launch Boss Talks, a new interview series where we get up close and personal with the manufacturing industry’s leading minds.

In each episode, we will be diving deep into the strategies, innovations and leadership philosophies shaping the future of manufacturing. Our guests will be industry titans, CEOs and visionaries who are pushing the boundaries and setting the standards for success. We start off with Ravi Raghavan, MD, BFW Ltd., who shares his insightful journey with Niranjan Mudholkar, Editorial Director, Pro MFG Media, in this exclusive interview. Mr. Raghavan discusses his journey with the company and his vision for the future.

Mr. Raghavan joined BFW in 2013 and has been impressed by the company’s stability and iconic brand. He believes that the company is well-positioned for the future and has a new strategy for 2026-2030 called “LEAP” which stands for Leadership through Ethical Behaviour, Agile Practices and Partnerships.

Mr. Raghavan believes that collaboration and partnerships are essential for success in today's business environment. He also believes that companies cannot be successful on their own and that the entire ecosystem needs to win.

One of the challenges that BFW is addressing is the import of high-value machine tools into India. Mr. Raghavan believes that the country needs to move towards producing these machines domestically. BFW’s approach is not to simply create import substitutes, but to provide innovative solutions that meet the needs of Indian manufacturers.

Finally, Mr. Raghavan discusses BFW’s vision for 2030. He wants BFW to be a serious global player by 2030. By this, he does not mean that BFW will be the number one company in terms of revenue, but that BFW will have some world-class products, infrastructure, processes and people. Mr. Raghavan believes that if BFW can achieve these goals, then they will be a global player.
