Varroc Appoints Eric Hamon as Chief Technical Officer

August 2026 : Varroc, global Tier-1 automotive supplier, has recently appointed Eric Hamon (MEng, eMBA) as its new Chief Technical Officer, strengthening its executive leadership team to accelerate next-generation mobility solutions. Operating from Pune, Hamon will oversee Varroc’s technology and engineering functions, steering innovation across electrification, software-defined vehicles, connected systems, functional safety, and cybersecurity to advance safe, smart, and sustainable mobility.

With a proven track record of bridging technical depth with strategic vision in multicultural environments, Hamon’s domain mastery spans e-motors, power electronics, ADAS, and energy storage systems. At Varroc, his leadership will focus on building engineering excellence, scaling e-mobility platforms, and delivering cutting-edge technology for global automotive OEMs.

Hamon brings over 25 years of global automotive and aerospace technology leadership to the role. He began his career at ExxonMobil France, followed by missile airframe design at EADS n.v. He spent over 15 years at PSA Peugeot Citroën as a Chief Engineer and Senior Program Manager before taking on key senior executive roles, including Product Innovation Director at Novares Group, Global R&D Director at Sogefi Group, and Platform Director across Powertrain Electrification and eAxles at Valeo.

Academically, Hamon holds a Master of Engineering from INSA Rouen Normandie, an eMBA from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne, and Executive education credentials in Digital Transformation from ESSEC Executive Education.
