September 2026 : Brose India has recently appointed Chetan Lagu as its new President & Managing Director. Operating from Pune, Lagu takes the helm to drive strategic expansion, enhance market competitiveness, and deepen key OEM partnerships across India's rapidly evolving mobility landscape.

Lagu brings over 25 years of high-impact leadership to Brose India, built on deep expertise in business management, commercial strategy, sales, and market development. Known for turning complex commercial strategy into scalable market success, his appointment comes at a pivotal juncture as the auto-component sector shifts toward high-efficiency, technology-driven solutions.

Before stepping into his current leadership role at Brose India, Lagu spent more than seven years at Adient, where he served as Country Manager and earlier as Director - Commercial. His executive career also includes leading commercial initiatives at AAM (American Axle & Manufacturing), along with a distinguished 12-year stint at SKF Group. He built his early career at Dana Holding Corporation, SKF andKrupp Industries India.

Lagu holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shivaji University and an MBA in Marketing from Savitribai Phule Pune University. He also completed advanced education programs in finance at the Indian School of Business (ISB), business strategy at CEIBS, and general business administration at INSEAD.
