April 2025 : he New Age Makers Institute of Technology (NAMTECH) has appointed Dr. K.C. (Kamal) Vora as the Program Director responsible for establishing a pioneering sector-focused Centre of Excellence (CoE) for the Automotive Sector Skill Development. This strategic initiative will be housed within the School of Automotive at NAMTECH.

NAMTECH, a higher education institute founded by ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India, is dedicated to cultivating world-class talent for the manufacturing and engineering sectors. Currently operating from its transitory campus at the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, NAMTECH offers programs in Smart Manufacturing. The institute is also developing a sprawling 150-acre smart campus in Ahmedabad, envisioned to support 30,000 learners through a pedagogy emphasizing experiential learning, robust industry collaboration, and real-world applications.

The envisioned Automotive CoE will function as a central hub for fostering innovation, promoting entrepreneurship, driving crucial skill development, and forging strong industry-academia partnerships. Dr. Vora, in his role as Program Director, will spearhead the development and operationalization of the Automotive CoE.
