September 2025 : Hero MotoCorp Limited recently announced a significant leadership change with the appointment of Mr. Harshavardhan Chitale as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 5, 2026.
Mr. Chitale brings over three decades of global leadership experience across both B2B and B2C sectors, with deep expertise in industrial automation, lighting, information technology, and digital transformation. He has held senior executive roles at major corporations such as Honeywell, HCL, including serving as the Global CEO of Signify’s €4 billion Professional Business, where he was instrumental in doubling profitability and pioneering large-scale innovation. He is an alumnus of IIT Delhi.

An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, Mr. Chitale is widely respected for his strategic vision and execution excellence. His leadership style, described as "spanning from zero feet to 30,000 feet," reflects his ability to engage with both frontline teams and boardrooms.
The company also announced that Mr. Vikram Kasbekar, who served as Acting CEO, will work closely with Mr. Chitale to ensure a smooth handover. Mr. Kasbekar will continue to serve on the Board as Executive Director and Chief Technology Officer.
