June 2026 : Kirloskar Electric Co Ltd. has recently announced the appointment of Janaki Kirloskar as its new Joint Managing Director. Stepping into this pivotal role, Janaki brings a profound personal and professional connection to a brand that has anchored the industry for generations.

Reflecting on her new responsibility, she shared: “As the Joint Managing Director of Kirloskar Electric, I’m honored to lead a company with a legacy that spans over 79 years. With a deep connection to the brand, I’ve spent over a decade at Kirloskar Electric. This hands-on experience gave me invaluable insights into operations and business processes, which continue to shape my leadership today.

Her professional career began at Kirloskar Electric. She then ventured into entrepreneurship as the Founder & CEO of premium crockery brand Kika Tableware. Most recently, she served as Deputy Managing Director at Ravindu Motors Private Limited. She laid her educational foundation at UWC South East Asia before earning her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (Honours) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
