May 2026 : Pharmaceutical major Lupin has recently appointed Mayuresh Purandare as its new IT Leader for the India Business Unit (BU). Purandare steps into the role this May, bringing over two decades of deep industry expertise to steer the company’s next phase of technological evolution.

In his new role, Purandare will spearhead Lupin’s enterprise transformation, fortify its cybersecurity frameworks, and drive next-generation digital initiatives across business operations. His leadership comes at a pivotal time as the pharmaceutical sector increasingly leverages digital architecture to optimize supply chains and enhance patient-centric solutions.

Purandare’s career spans more than 20 years of delivering business value through technology across diverse sectors, including FMCG, utilities, manufacturing, aviation, and media. He joins Lupin following a highly successful seven-year tenure at Marico Limited. His extensive career also includes impactful leadership roles at CLP India Pvt. Ltd., Bunge and Celebi NAS Airport Services India Pvt. Ltd. Earlier in his career, he honed his project management skills at Magna Services India Pvt Ltd and Sure Field Marketing in London.

Purandare holds an MBA in International Business from the London College Of Computing and Electronics and a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Telecommunications from K.C. College of Engineering.
