April 2026 : Raj Petro Specialities, a prominent member of the Shell Group, has recently announced the appointment of Praveen Nagpal as its new Managing Director. Nagpal, who previously served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer, steps into the role with a mission to accelerate the firm's growth across the specialty chemicals and industrial lubricants landscape.
With a career spanning over 28 years, Nagpal is recognized for his unique blend of deep technical expertise and commercial acumen. His leadership has been a cornerstone in shaping Raj Petro’s operational discipline across more than 17 industrial verticals. During his tenure within the Shell ecosystem, Nagpal was instrumental in building the supply chain and sourcing efficiencies that allow the brand to deliver consistent quality at scale.
Nagpal’s professional journey is defined by long-term excellence at Shell, where he spent over 17 years in high-impact roles, including Chief Technology Officer for Lubricants & Services and Global Product Application Specialist for the power and marine sectors. Before his extensive chapter at Shell, he honed his expertise as a Segment Manager at Chevron Lubricants India and spent several years at Wartsila India Ltd in technical and field service management.
His academic foundation includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the Institution of Engineers India and an MBA from the Institute of Technology and Management.
