October 2025 : Siemens has recently announced the appointment of Swapnil Deosthali as the new Country Head for Digital Industries. Deosthali, an experienced leader and a 29-year veteran of the company, steps into this role to spearhead the digital transformation efforts across India’s industrial landscape.
Deosthali's mission is centered on empowering Indian enterprises by harnessing technology and redefining possibilities beyond conventional boundaries. His leadership will drive a customer-centric environment focused on proactively solving real-world challenges across key industrial sectors. Success, according to his vision, will be measured directly by the accomplishments of Siemens’ valued customers and partners.
Deosthali’s journey with Siemens began in 1996 as a Production Planning Engineer, establishing a foundational understanding of manufacturing operations before transitioning into sales and leadership roles. His nearly three decades with the company have provided him with extensive international exposure across ASEAN, Germany, and India.
His proven expertise spans a broad portfolio of industrial solutions, including factory automation, process automation, LV/MV drives/motors, LV switchgear, and CNC controllers. He has successfully managed key vertical markets critical to India's growth, such as steel, cement, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage (F&B), and automotive.
Deosthali holds a Bachelor of Engineering from COEP Technological University and has further strengthened his strategic acumen through an Executive Management Program from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and certifications in strategy from INSEAD. His extensive background uniquely positions him to accelerate the Digital Industries business unit, focusing on innovation and sustainable growth in the Indian market.
