To strengthen these vital connections, global crop protection leader UPL has recently appointed Swapnil Shelar as its new Global Supply Planning & Customer Operations Lead.

Swapnil, a seasoned strategist with over 18 years of expertise, steps into this role at a pivotal time for the Agchem industry. His focus is centered on a blend of logistical precision and a deep-seated commitment to sustainability.

This appointment is a natural progression for Swapnil, who has spent over 11 years within the UPL ecosystem. His career is a masterclass in end-to-end supply chain management, having previously served as the Head of Supply Chain for MECA (Middle East, Central Asia, Turkey & Russia) and the Global Commercial Operations and Demand Planning Lead. Before his long tenure at UPL, Swapnil sharpened his expertise at Alliance Tires, CEAT Tyres Limited, and Willfield Logistics Pvt. Ltd.

Swapnil holds an International Executive MBA in Supply Chain Management from UBI Business School, a Diploma in Export Import Management from KC College, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mumbai. He has also completed specialized programs at IIM Kozhikode in Transformational Customer Experience Management and earned his CDPFP certification from the Institute of Supply Chain Management (ISCM).
